Discovering,
Integrating, and Living the Feminine Principle
Through Woman on Earth programs, Individual Depth Exploration Sessions, and the experience of meaningful feminine community, each woman has the opportunity to deepen her own understanding of what it means to be a woman. In the presence of her loving and supportive sisters, each woman brings to life her unique feminine mystery, and transforms her life from her feminine ground. The result of this work is a community of individual women, presenting to the world a paradigm of cooperation instead of competitiveness, balance instead of contradiction, creativity instead of anxiety, and the fullness of self-understanding instead of the limitations of the unconscious power model.
The
conditioned patterns of femininity that have been passed down through
generations do not always feed the lush, fertile mystery of archetypal Woman
that lives beneath the surface in all women. There is no council of elders to
initiate females into womanhood and instruct in the women’s mysteries. There
are no symbol-rich puberty rituals to help females leave girlhood behind and
fully embrace a new life status as women. There are no moon lodges to support
the sacredness of the menstrual blood and foster feminine community. There is no
societal myth to lift the feminine essence into divine, transcendent purpose.
Because of the absence of rites of passage, ritual, consistent community,
spiritual direction, and myth in our society, the depths of many women are left
without pathways for narrative expression, and the lives of many women are left
without deeply grounded feminine meaning.
Woman on Earth offers many ways in which the feminine can be explored and integrated. Full day workshops focus on specific issues, such as: feminine community, feeding the hungry feminine soul, and archetypal stories of woman. More extensive programs, such as Discovering Woman, Together and Treasures in the Dark, provide opportunities for lasting feminine enrichment and discovery. These programs can help women re-form a self-image based on the archetypal material of the Feminine rather than conditioned ideas of woman. Full-Weekend experiences like Masks and Mirrors, Feeding the Feminine Soul, and the annual Woman on Earth Wellness Weekend provide opportunities for women to engage their depth process in a way that accentuates and lifts their every day lives. Individual
Depth Exploration Sessions assist women in taking this work deeper by
providing an invitational and intentional containment field that accommodates
each seeker’s unique and phenomenological psychic process. These sessions are
tailored to meet the needs of each seeker, and can occur over email or telephone
in addition to in person. Click here to read

Most of the powers once held by
the goddess have lost their connection to a woman’s life:
the embodied, playful, passionately erotic feminine; the powerful,
independent, self-willed feminine; the ambitious, regal, many-sided feminine.
~Sylvia
Brinton-Perera, 1981, p. 19
Not infrequently we hear it
affirmed that there is no essential difference between men and women, except the
biological one. Many women have accepted this standpoint and have themselves
done much to foster it. They have been content to be men in petticoats and so
have lost touch with the feminine principle within themselves. This is perhaps
the main cause of the unhappiness and emotional instability of today.
~Esther Harding, 1971, p. 17
